I realize they have the volunteers for the work, but they also ussually have full time staff, facilities and revenue. Do donations keep these organizations afloat, or do they tap into some sort of government grant handout that supports them because they are serving the community (whatever that means) I would like to know how these organizations work? Like most of the developing countries, lots of adults can read but are not interested in regular reading. Book publishing rates are low and the variety is limited. There aren't many public libraries either. Most of the international or local organizations, rightly, focus on children literacy. I wonder if there are organizations (profit or non-profit) who focus on this issue and come up with products/services? Asked by Commoncolors - Sun Aug 16 08:59:45 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A.
